Tuesday meeting has witnessed a large number of attendants
Prince Abdulhakeem ibn mesaed: the business sector is the eastern region has a high sense of social responsibility
The president of the higher organizing committee of the 2nd GCC games in Dammam, his royal highness, prince Abdulhakeem ibn mesaed ibn Abdulaziz has asserted that the businesses sector in the eastern region is knowing for its continuous support to all the activities in the region. This support stems from the social responsibility towards the community.
His highness has said in his speech in (Tuesday meeting) which was held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in the chamber’s head office, that the business sector in the region is known for its participation in all the activities in the region. He asked everyone to participate in the second GCC games, which will be held in the region and is supposed to be from October 15 until October 26, 2015. His royal highness, King Salman ibn Abdulaziz, and his royal highness, Prince Saud ibn Nayef, the eastern region governor, will sponsor it. it will be under the direct guidance of His royal highness, Prince Abdullah ibn Musaed, General President of Youth Welfare and the president of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, prince mohmammed ibn fahad stadium will hold the opening ceremony. As for the rest of the games, they will be distributed amongst a number of sports facilities in the region. There are 15 sports, namely: football, handball, basketball, athletics, swimming, volleyball basic like games session and judo, karate, bowling, equestrian and table tennis and weight lifting and camel racing as optional sports, in addition to the two games for people with disabilities which are weight lifting disabilities and Goalball for the blind.
He also asserted during the meeting which was attended by a large number of businessmen and sports and media personalities, that the higher organizing committee is ready has on all the organizational and administrative aspects, stressing the participation of Dubai’s Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and his son Hamdan in the horse-racing endurance racing.
His royal Highness said that the preparations for the session has started early. Because it is important to appear at a level that is befitting the potential of the Kingdom. He stressed that all workers in the session are Saudi nationals and said, "the Preparations has exceeded 90 percent, and the work is still ongoing to determine the readiness of the session”. He pointed out that the event represents the nation and that the Committee welcomes any participation from any of the government sectors and the business sectors to reach the desired goal. He said that the Committee of Relations and protocols has ended with the its plan of receiving the sports delegations and public figures, and said that there will be a number of well-known names on the list of guests during that session.
For his part, Abdul Rahman bin Saleh Al-Otaishan, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber asserted that the chamber has always been and will always be a big supporter of any economic or social activities and events because that is part of the chamber’s social responsibility towards the society and the region. He stressed on the chamber’s contribution and standing side by side with the Organizing Committee, both on the level of planning or implementation of the success of the session. Abdulrahman ibn Abdullah Al-wabel, Asharqia chamber chairman asserted that the chamber will organize the fifth athlete Investment Forum on Thursday, October 15 under the auspices of the His royal highness, Prince Abdullah ibn Musaed, General President of Youth Welfare and the president of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee.
At the end of the meeting, Al-Otaishan, presented The president of the higher organizing committee of the 2nd GCC games in Dammam, his royal highness, prince Abdulhakeem ibn mesaed ibn Abdulaziz with a trophy, for the important information that he presented about the tournament. He expressed his wish that the events of the tournament will have a great number of attendance and supporters.
